Polski Wieczór Artystyczny w Wallington

Organizacja Polonia For Kids (P4K) zaprasza całą Polonię do udziału w imprezie charytatywnej “Polski Wieczór Artystyczny”, która odbędzie się w sobotę 17 marca 2012 o godz 7pm w Kościele Transfiguration of Our Lord PNCC w Wallington, NJ.

W programie wieczoru znajdą się humorystyczne dowcipy i piosenka kabaretowa w wykonaniu Janusza Szlechty oraz autorskie piosenki w wykonaniu trójki utalentowanych polonijnych muzyków: Tomasza Popławskiego (lider grupy Junior), Adama Chroli (wokalista zespołu Adamband) oraz Magdy Bałdych, która występuje m.in. w Simone Band.

Ostatnim punktem programu będzie losowanie fantów, wśród których znajdą się m.in. kolekcjonerska piłka futbolowa Mistrzów NFL NY Giants, książki i płyty z autografami. Szczegółowa lista przedmiotów dostępna będzie wkrótce na stronie internetowej organizacji.

Zebrane fundusze posłużą na wypełnianie misji statutowej P4K, jaką jest wsparcie i pomoc dzieciom zarówno w USA jak i w Polsce poprzez zbieranie funduszy na różne potrzeby (leczenie, terapia, edukacja, kursy itp), a także poprzez ułatwianie dzieciom dostępu do powszechnych źródeł pomocnych informacji na temat emigracji, wykształcenia, zdrowia itp. Organizacja pragnie także krzewić postawy wolontarystyczne wśród polonijnych dzieci i młodzieży oraz zachęcić młodych Polaków do czynnego udziału we wszelakich inicjatywach związanych z promowaniem kultury i historii naszej Ojczyzny, które fundacja planuje organizować w przyszłości na własną rękę, bądź we współpracy z innymi polonijnymi organizacjami i stowarzyszeniami.

Valentine’s Dinner/Zabawa Walentynkowa

Christmas at Transfiguration Parish, Wallington

Memorial Candles are available for the Christmas Holidays. Memorial Cards are available in the Church vestibule. Memorial Candles may be designated in memory of deceased parents, family members and friends. Memorial Cards should be returned by December 18, 2011.

Christmas Wafers/Opłatki are available in the Parish Hall.

As in the past, we will be having our Remembrance Tree. Bring an ornament with a loved one’s name on it and hang it on the tree during the Christmas Eve or Christmas morning Holy Mass.

Gift Auction: Our annual gift auction will be held Sunday, November 13th. Doors open at 1 PM. The auction starts 2:30 PM.

Thanksgiving Food Drive: A table has been set up in the church vestibule for our annual Thanksgiving food drive. Please bring in your donation of canned and non-perishable goods by Sunday, November 20th. God bless your generosity.

PNU District Convention: The District Convention of the Polish National Union of America, “Spójnia,” will be held Saturday, November 19th at 2:30 PM in the auditorium of our Parish.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Service: On behalf of the Ecumenical Committee of Passaic, I am inviting you to this year`s annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service which will be held at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. church, 95 Myrtle Ave. Passaic, on Sunday, November 20th at 3:30 PM.

Wallington Memorial Day Parade

One of the most meaningful traditions that has evolved in Wallington is the annual Memorial Day Parade. This celebration allows us to honor those who have served this country through the armed forces. It is a symbol of patriotism and an appreciation of history. This year’s Memorial Day Pared is scheduled for Monday, May 30, 2011. As in past Fr. Gregory has been invited to participate in the program.
